This is probably my favorite among his photos that I have seen. The somewhat messy hair just makes him all the more human/mortal. I love this photo!! And here he is wearing that very same frock coat with the baggy sleeves.

From a fashion perspective, the peak lapel, cuff detail and fabric sheen, show Lincoln to be an early metro in that he cared about what he wore. The watch chain and vest are very cool.

It's nice to see that someone at the Lib of Congress has a sense of humor. Looks at the tags,... werewolf. That's great.

Great leader, great picture. I still get sad every time I think about his assassination, even though its now been over 140 years.

I'm so happy to know that there are aficionados of the 16th President of the United States out there, continuing to commemorate his Bicentennial. Being born on Lincoln's BirthdayFeb 12th), I revered the ground Lincoln tred on. Factoid: Lincoln really admired the music of "Oh Way Down South in Dixie." Ironically, several hours earlier, in a Thrift Store, at a magazine rack, I was gazing at this very picture on the cover of the dated magazine. Strange, As if I was in some kind of trance. Strange indeed. It happened..
