Raymond Holstein Stereograph Collection
The Raymond Holstein Stereograph Collection consists of approximately 2,000 Philadelphia images, including views from Philadelphia’s most important late 19th-century photographic studios: those of Robert Newell, James Cremer, Montgomery P. Simons, the Langenheims, and John Moran. The photographs document well-known city landmarks such as Fairmount Park, Rittenhouse Square, the Philadelphia Zoo and City Hall, as well as commercial and residential streets, churches and hospitals, and the Delaware waterfront between the 1850s and turn of the century.
