Tiered toddler skirt tutorial
With less than 1/2 yard of fabric and a bit of elastic, make this super-simple skirt in about half an hour. It'll fit little girls about two to four years old (I think; Thalia's almost three now). It's pretty versatile, too: Make the tiers narrower or wider to adjust the length. The tier pieces of the flower-print skirt here were cut 4 inches wide; the pink corduroy skirt tiers were cut 5 inches wide. If you want more pronounced gathering, cut off a bit more than 4 and 8 inches from the middle and top tiers. If you want more twirly action, use a drapey fabric like knit velvet.
