Typical Belgian 70kV power lines

The 70kV network was initiated in the 1930 and was initially the mainstay of the Belgian power network. Now that higher voltages are in use, it is relegated to a distribution role, and many 70 kV lines are now unfortunately underground cables, a more expensive solution which lacks the visual appeal of these simple but beautiful little pylons.
