Hazy Twilight over Edinburgh

It is also my favorite city in the world. I had the good fortune to live there for a few months several years ago, and although I live in the US, Edinburgh will always feel like home to me.

Edinburgh is a brilliant city. I love it. This is a great shot, with the fog and colours of the evening. Well done

I loved Edinburgh when I visited about 2 years ago and have been jonesing to go back ever since! I did climb Arthur's Seat when I went though -- yeesh that was hike!

In any case, this photo is breathtaking -- you are indeed lucky to live in such a wonderful city! :)

Unreal! Great perspective. Can't wait to go back there someday. Was only there when I was a little kid. Barely remember it.

I absolutely agree with your comment, but there's a difference between us: I'm Italian and I live in Milan, but I'm not so lucky as you to describe my city as the most beautiful city I've ever visited. Some years ago I stayed in Edinburgh for two months and from that moment I couldn't say that Milan was my home anymore, Edinburgh was my home. I adore this photograph because it reminds me of the great beauty of your (our? :D) city. It is able to represent Edinburgh in all its magnificence, and I love it because of this.

    Thank-you for this extraordinary shot.

Scott, I have a blog piece written as it happens from a similar vantage point over the city on Arthurs Seat. I'd love to be able to merge one particular passage with your image. I have my own poor photos in the blog already but I'd of course provide a link to yours with the image. If you want to take a look, go here:
