Do you get a bit cross when your cat loses an expensive collar and tag?
The vet will tell you that it's important that a cat can wriggle out in case it's ever caught somewhere, but I always imagine my cat just finding a quiet spot under the house for a bit of determined collar removing - nothing about danger at all. Until now.
I was up a ladder doing some lopping of one of the larger trees in our back garden, when, hanging from a small broken branch, no more than 5cm long, was this old collar of Dora's.
I can only imagine the scene - her coming down the tree from the roof of the garden shed, when suddenly the collar gets snagged and she's in serious trouble. Fortunately, all we lost was a collar, but I'll never begrudge my cats a replacement again. Priceless!
