~ The Haunted House! ~ (Part 2)

People say it is scary. I don't think so... It is is from 1884. Sometimes its open to the public and have guided tours.

Some years ago I visited it. Its so impressively ornate and luxurious! That time, the guide, one of the owners, saw that I liked so much the house that leaved me to visit inside, alone, for hours! Then, I decided to go to the attic (it was not open to the public that time) and know the rooms there, specially the chapel (people say, sometimes they see a woman ghost in the chapel's window). Well, unfortunately, I didn't see any ghost... But I could discover the deep beauty of that artistic and delicate chapel!

All the house is very artistic, with frescoes in the ceilings and walls. The painter took around 16 years to finish the paintings! The house is bigger than it looks. The biggest part of the materials to decorate it was imported from Europe: the door handles, the brocade lining the walls, the marbles, the chandeliers and fixtures etc... It is infinitely more luxurious than any Emperor's residence in the city!

It is also known as "the house of the seven errors", because of its asymmetrical facade. Its gardens was projected by Auguste Glaziou and the old barn its today a charming bistrot!

Do not be afraid, see LARGE! :¬D
