falling in the deep (hospitals reef, la jolla)
Here's an old photo similar to my other cascading shot but taken earlier in the day. The conditions have to be harmony to get the cascade you see here. You need a fairly high tide to spill over the top shelf but you also need to have the water level in the channel low enough to create a gap for the water to fall. Seems like a contradiction of events but it happens when the water recedes and a big wave comes crashing down.
