I saw this woman sitting outside of the theater where CHICAGO is playing. She seemed a contrast to what I was shooting that night — and what was behind her.

She looks like she's seen everything.

thanks jeanneg! This is one of my fave portraits that I have taken. It seems so meaningful and poignant... who knows what she's like... I wonder if she used to be a performer.

My, oh my. Thanks for adding this photo/food for thought to WEi... Holly -- hope you're very well & also that this woman who seems to have "seen everything" has also found enjoyment in her life. By the way, I think I'll think of YOU every late August into September... it's coming up soon. All my best.

Alexandra Charbonneau — thanks *Allie (:!

whirrdz — so incredibly nice to see that name. Hey Chris got married in Grand Rapids!!! hahhah his wife is so awesome. yeah, sometimes I am not in the mood to pull my big silly camera out, but this lady of the city was far too compelling, especially in the immediate environment. Another friend of mine going to the same event last night mentioned seeing this woman outside an SRO, so I guess she is a total denizen. I am sortof curious to go and try to find her again... I love city people. there are alot of scary things lately in the city, I fear that the muslim/andi-muslim fighting will turn into a huge rip from the small tear it is now. but if that is what human nature demands then there is nothing one can do except voice their own opinions. Hope all is well with you!

      Frank Fullard — thanks!

armed with aesthetics — thanks! nice to see your cutie Clara Bow face!

thanks Barry! hope to see you soon!
