Another from the Ottery St. Mary tar barrels festival.
This photo captures the moment that one of the runners dropped his barrel, sending a cascade of sparks flying up into the sky. It's far from perfect, mainly because it wasn't planned, it was a very quick point-and-shoot effort, but I really like the way the people standing in front of me were silhouetted so softly by the rising embers. I had a go at cropping out the shopfront (the blur in the top left of frame) but it didn't really work. I love the movement of fire, it's a huge photographic fascination of mine, so this picture has a special place in my heart.
