      Nice effect, but... oh noes!!!
Can you patch the holes with liquid electrical tape?

Well, I still haven't sent it off, and I bought the stuff but haven't managed to find the guts to try and do the repair yet. Have you tried this? I know it's supposed to be easy and I guess I can't cause much damage to the curtains at this point...

I like the idea in principle, but I'd also be leery of the LET not sticking too well and eventually working off, especially if there's grease on the shutter curtain. I'd do it on a cheaper camera, but probably not your beloved M.

Oh shudder, the idea of the stuff flaking off into the camera's interior didn't occur to me, although fiddling with it at all just seems like a bad idea. Wishing the holes would heal hasn't worked so I guess this brings me back to the reality of sending it to Sherry for a few months. Time to dust off the Electro, and get around to developing some of the stuff on the shelf.

If Sherry ever found out I even mentioned using LET to fix a shutter curtain hole, she'd probably flay me alive :P

Cloth shutters are the Achiles Heel of Leicas. Gawd I love them so!
