      They are very fragile, and quite possibly contaminated with mercury, so that may not be the best use for them. But I have to admit I have been thinking about the possibility.

      mercury poisoning is not something to be taken lightly, so that's probably best. might their be a way to detox them? in any event, i love the font :)

      I've been wishing for a sample of the real Nixie tube font. For some reason it never occurred to me to take an actual tube apart ;-)

      Maybe they could be copied somehow onto a mask and be used to etch clean ones.

      Maybe they could be coated with acrylic or something? It would make them more durable as well as protecting from mercury.
