Himalayian Stream of Life
So on the 3rd day of our trek, it rained forcing us to take cover. It was as this point that our guide told us we'll be stopping near this location for the night. After the rain stopped we were left to our own devices to explore the world around us.
After seeing the stream for the majority of the walk thus far, I thought that I just absolutely needed to have a long exposure shot by the water. With tripod, ND filter and camera in hand, down I ventured climbing down a steep slope of rocks to arrive at the riverbed.
When one arrives at a scene location one should take in the scene. Taking in this scene in I would have liked more to be facing the water front on. After spending some time at this location this is the shot that I arrived at.
I'm happy with the outcome however would have liked to be nearer to the water without being swept away.
The ND filter and tripod worked a treat in producing this photo. Long exposure can be simulated in post, however taking it in the field saves all the headache and is just that much more magic.
