Konstanz, Germany (Bodensee)
A view of the snow-laden clouds over the Bodensee, near the harbor entrance. Civilization in Konstanz traces to the late Stone Age, and was first settled by the Romans around 50 AD. Konstanz has an amazing history for such a small town. The statute to the right is the Imperia, a satirical commemoration of the Council of Konstanz (1414-1418) during which the only election for a Pope ever held North of the Alps took place.
