Clapper Rail

    The local species of Clapper Rail is endangered because of habitat loss. They are reliably seen during high tides at a number of locations, including Muzzi's Marsh, Corte Madera, California. Other great spots are Arrowhead Marsh and Palo Alto Baylands.

    This was one of my earliest digiscoped photos. The jpeg from the CP4500 was only 1MB!
