Westward Cup 2010 - Saturday 10th July

ELEONORA was launched in March 2000 and is an exact replica of the famous racing schooner Westward. Unfortunately Eleonora lost both her top masts just before the start of the regatta and so competed throughout with this disadvantage.

The regatta was the inaugural running of Westward Cup and was organised by the Royal Yacht Squadron (RYS), the New York Yacht Club (NYYC) and Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM). The event was initiated by Zbynek Zak, the owner of one of one of the competing yachts, Eleonora, a replica of Westward, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Westward’s launch.


The overall Regatta prizes were:


Overall winner of the Westward Cup was Tuiga.

2nd place overall went to Mariette

3rd overall to Mariquita.
