Art that is so good it's like a sick joke, fed through my eyes and straight to my brain telling me to never ever attempt this sort of thing.
      Amazing.

Now that's what I call a compliment! I'm sure Art Fitzpatrick ( car artist - who's still alive, btw: fitz-art.com/ ) and Van Kaufman ( deceased - but the partner responsible for all the people and environments ) would be pleased. :^)

When I was a kid in the 80s I used to collect this sort of thing from jumble and yard sales (in the Uk) and would always dream of painting/illustrating just like the heavily textured and deceptively effortless looking work from the early 60s, it just blew me away.
I spent hours pouring over architectural mock ups, national geographic, vogue and anything I could get my hands on but like I said, nobody can really replicate this mastery of persective, light and shade, it is best left well alone like a classic movie.

Secondly... I have followed your thread for at least two years and only just discovered the whole album of illustrators (bookmarked in firefox now)
Thanks for posting, I will trawl through it all soon enough.
