Classic truck chassis
The classic truck chassis from Technic idea book can be build from the parts of these tree sets; the 8848 and 8849 from '81 and the iconic 8860 car chassis from '80. Quite some elements are needed to build the truck; the vast majority of the large Technic beams are put in the chassis. I remember I built the rear end of the truck quite often for my own models during the late 80s. I was short on these large 24x43 wheels then and wasn't able to build double wheels on the driven axle. The mechanism of the boogie lift works fine although the rear axles are bending quite heavily. The V6 engine runs smooth but the gear box will come loose very quickly when shifting gears.
It was quite fun building something from my childhood. I never tried to build the entire truck then as I really didn't knew how to construct the front axle (and its steering mechanism). But looking at it now it is quite easy. For the truck I only used parts from the three sets and it should be close to 100%.
