Legotrope No. 3 "Horses"

My first motorized Lego zoetrope. This was for public display, so I didn't want to have to stand there cranking it for 6+ hours. It is also my first 12 frame zoetrope. It is inspired by the Muybridge photos of the running horse (although he shot 16 frames, so I couldn't copy them exactly).

The horse had to be made of very simple parts so I could make 13 of them (I had one extra to show, so I wouldn't have to stop the zoetrope while on display). The only part I had to order was a few extra 1x3 plates (I needed 65 altogether).

DUDE this is simply amazing. As a film studies grad I gotta say, I'm impressed and really love that you chose this zoetrope to animate/build in lego. Nice job

Very cool. I actually thought about the about a week ago when I was looking at someone's stop motion. I started to think about early photography and cinema photography. Glad to see someone has done it!
