...aaand the greatest military offensive in Orc history is thwarted by...
    A Speedbump.

    But seriously, beautiful model.

Wow. This is a fantastic concept! It's just a ton of fun. And Orciness. But mostly fun.

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Blogged by The Brothers Brick, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

I love this thing, particularly because I can imagine it competing on Robot Wars or Battlebots (which I was rather obsessed with as a kid). The weird thing is, despite being motorised, it's completely believable as an old-world castle/vehicle. Great work.

And it didn't win. Actually it even didn't got nominated. Seriously, are the CCC judges blind? Or motorphobic?

  9. Legohaulic 51 months ago | reply

^ I would venture to say that its a severe case of motorphobia. It really sucks because, in my mind, a moving castle is way more fantastic or fanciful than some of the other entries. I guess they're thinking, "If its not sitting still...it ain't a castle!" They probably looked at it as a "vehicle" more than a castle...which it total crap IMO.

It's one of the reasons I'm less inclined to contests than I used to be. Judging Lego is a very subjective thing.

I prefer polls over a small panel of judges. It's a more fair method. But oh well. I like it and that's all that matters :)

    It's really a shame this didn't win.

Innovations and new ideas are ALWAYS rewarded

( Usually by stoning or burning at the stake )

    p.s. Tyler, YOU SUCK!

This should have WON, pants down!

Look at this. So brown, so innovative, so amazing, elegant and humourous!

I hope this drives the judges over a few times until they realise how genious this is.
