Avalon (Video)

Newer Older

Here's a quick video that we should have posted last week :) But better late than never. And considering 'Avalon' was a build we couldn't keep it was time to put the pieces back in the box.

Eklund!, GrayOverload, .Tromas, and 27 other people added this video to their favorites.

I loved the serene way you did that, and the demonstration of your god-like speed-building skill. ;)

Indeed, the reverse is awesome! And so much for the whole keep-everything-you-build thing. ;-)

PS. My son loves your fire video, and wants to watch it over and over.

PS2 -- Have you grown some hair since the engagement photo? ;-D

Brilliant! As others have said, the reverse is great too, but i also liked the slo-mo: the sound was like the tide coming in to wash away such an impermenent structure..

Sean, one of these days, I am going to convince you to keep your creations together.

It's a shame you destroyed this...

I would have very much liked to have seen this at Brickfair next year ;P

So does that mean your coming?! :D

  7. Si-MOCs 32 months ago | reply

yes - I'll come if you can transport this to Brickfair from your home without rebuilding it on site :D

Brilliant! Alright, Sean, lets get out the ol' superglue and Simon will never know! :D

Like you should talk Blake! Oh destroyer of Amon Hen and Rivendell!

Oh yes, I got the irony of it. And also -- is this about the first thing you've ever actually destroyed? ;-)

THAT would be scary-where do all their pieces come from then?! :D

  12. eilonwy77 31 months ago | reply

Now THAT is a good question. I'd say something about having sold their souls.... but that is so obviously not even the case I don't even want to go there. But they definitely have pieces and know how to use them. ; -D

Nooooooo!!! You should have used the head! It would look as if you had vomited it up in reverse....

"Watches video, then in reverse" MOTHER OF GOD, Jesus?

Wow! I'm so sorry it took us so long to respond. Talk about a delay, I think we're gonna start responding the day of instead of waiting towards the end. So sorry!
Haha, yeah it was sad and scarey... we only had one shot at knocking it over and getting a good shot of it :P
:) That makes us happy, thanks for saying so!
Yeah it was time for it to go. No good having a creation that had to be built in the photo booth, and couldnt ever be moved... Had to happen eventually :D
    Thanks alot!
Now that would be sacrilege ;)
I know it's so sad, poor rivendell :(
Thanks, and very true :) one day we'll have to try it, thanks so much for the recent blogs. We are very honored.
I know! how dare we :P ... we were running out :)
    Thanks guys!
Yes! they are tons of fun, spread the word :)
Haha that's hillarious! And yes I am starting to look like a wookie :P It is for Halloween. We're dressing up with a group of friends as the X-men and I'm gonna be Wolverine W >.< W lol
Haha, yup no deivl pacts... I sincerely doubt he has a vault of legos to barter for peoples souls anyways ;). But yes we have been blessed and often learn to build with the pieces we have left... ie.. most likely you wont see to much more forest stuff lol. Time to use some black pieces!
Haha, yeah well we only had one shot at knocking it over so we played it safe.

Thanks again everyone, sorry we've been so out of touch and just posting without saying hi!

The thing that jumped out to me was actually how long the towers stayed intact as you were passing your hand through it. They must have been much sturdier than one would think.

I thought you would throw something at it...
    awesome.

I imagine this was rather tricky to construct, and quite rewarding to demolish. Not every build is smearable! Brilliant stuff here! You two come up with the cleverest most fun filled ideas!

    It looks great in reverse.

Must've been hard to construct. Great job. SLOW MOTION! :)
