Musket balls - or grinding balls?

According to information held at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery (UK) these are matchlock musket balls, alleged to have been found at the site of the Battle of Naseby.

From the collection of Northampton Museum and Art Gallery.

* As of 2012, I'm more inclined to believe that these are grinding balls, as used in the mineral industry. *
