I've never seen anything like this, the conditions must have been so precise to give enough melt and flexibility to the snow.


My guess is that as the slide warmed in the sun the snow slid off the end into a concertina on the ground, then when the sun moved away the air temperature cooled slower than the slide, so although the snow kept sliding off the end it wasn't as flexible so created the final bow before stopping.
