Caridina japonica (multidentata)
a.k.a. Yamatonuma or Amano shrimp
I'm curently looking after this 240 liter aquarium (which used to be mine) whose owner is on holiday. Among a plethora of fish and snails it also contains about a dozen Amanos, and countless Crystal Reds.
Amanos are quite impressive. Their bodies, without the antennae, are about five centimeters long, and even though they're generally peaceful they don't decline a snack of newborn fish if the opportunity arises.
Contrary to Crystal Reds (Caridina logemanni), they're also rather shy and will try to avoid you when you put your hand in the water.
