Snow Shoeing in May
Went on a great snow shoeing hike yesterday, at Loon Lake. There was quite a bit of snow still around at 6000 ft. elevation. I was hoping to get to a number of new waterfalls, but only found a couple new (small) ones. This is Upper Gerle Creek Falls, 19 ft. high. I know it would have been nice to move over a bit to the right for this composition, but that would have meant I'd be getting very wet, which I was not prepared for. Also, my tripod leg was broken (argh!), and I had to finagle it to get it stable enough to take this shot.
