Watching the Watchers
The crowd at a Japanese baseball game in summer 2005. I posted this because I think it's unusual to see a great sunset and a large crowd of people in the same shot. The Hanshin Tigers beat the Yokohama Bay Stars, and I learned the rules of the game for the first time in my cricket-loving English life. The atmosphere was extraordinary. Everyone was friendly, everyone was positive, and no one was shouting abuse at the players. It made me realise how pathetically negative the fans are at English football grounds. Tribalism is never good.
