Old Port, Marseille France

The Vieux Port (on okkzitanisch lo-Provencal Port Vielh or lou Pouart Vièi) since its inception in ancient times, both the oldest port of Marseille, as well as the historical and cultural center of the city. Until the mid-nineteenth century was the economic center of the port of Marseille, opened for maritime trade in the Mediterranean Sea and for trade with the French colonies. The commercial port is then moved further north to the current Marseille Europort. Today, the Old Port a marina, a popular meeting place and tourist landmarks. The factory buildings of the Vieux-Port are protected as historical monuments. Wikipedia.
