Night Sky Over Wukoki Pueblo, Wupatki National Monument, Arizona

First inhabited around 500 A.D., Wupatki (which translates to "tall house" in Hopi) is situated about 40 minutes north of Flagstaff, Arizona. A once thriving community, the region was abandoned around 1225 A.D. due to environmental changes. Today, visitors can take a step back in time and explore the ruins of this once flourishing community. Find out more here: www.nps.gov/wupa/index.htm
