16 / 52: Miscommunication :::...
Friday’s Food for thought.
I never knew how art and communication went hand in hand until I read a post by my friend BellePhoto. He stated “A master photographer understands that his life’s work is to communicate ideas.” I think we all can relate to this to life when we communicate an idea to someone and they understand and love the idea and we feel successful. The flip side is when the audience or person does not receive the idea placed forward in the photo and the whole idea is miscommunicated and the feeling of being unsuccessful and withdrawal or maybe a little “funk”, as my flickr friend would say, sets in. I believe many of us have moved beyond the snap shot to communicating art in our photos.
How did you feel when your idea was miscommunicated?
When was the last time your kiddo or significant other stated “you did not understand them.” How did it make you feel? Did you really listen to them?
How did you feel when others got your idea and understood what you communicated?
