Building A Movement
Community organizers Brittany Packnett and Cristina Tzintzún Ramírez share how they've built a social movement to achieve greater justice and equality on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at The Summit on Race in America at the LBJ Presidential Library. Packnett is co-founder of Campaign Zero to end police violence and vice president of Teach for America. Tzintzún is founder and director of Jolt, a Texas-based organization that builds the political power and influence of Latinos. Moderating the panel is Leonard N. Moore, vice president for diversity and community engagement at the University of Texas at Austin.
The Summit on Race in America runs from April 8-April 10 at the LBJ Library.
