Kirkstall Abbey

Kirkstall Abbey, one of the most complete examples of a medieval Cistercian abbey in Britain. Set in wonderful parkland along the banks of the River Aire, Kirkstall Abbey boast historic architecture amid a haven of wildlife and greenery. Kirkstall Abbey is located 3.5 miles from the city centre off the main A65 road, adjacent to Abbey House Museum. Kirkstall Abbey Park has successfully achieved the Green Flag Award in 2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10 and 2010/11.
