DREAMers Film Project

The debut screening of the first video profile of the DREAMers Documentary Film Project took place at the Human Rights Commission in Santa Rosa Tuesday, December 16, and was a big success.

The video also got over 10,000 views on Facebook and YouTube since it was posted a couple days ago. It tells the story of two young men, Diego and Giovanni, who are lifelong friends and SSU grads, one who was born in this country and one who was not, and how DACA affected their lives. Both Diego and Giovanni were at the event and spoke movingly about the film and the DACA law.

The CEO of KRCB, our local PBS station, came to the screening and has told us KRCB will begin broadcasting the video right away. And more video profiles are being finished now, some in conjunction with the film programs at Analy and Windsor High Schools. We have hopes to film more DREAMers profiles from Sonoma State, Santa Rosa Junior College, Roseland University Prep, Elsie Allen, and other local schools.

Below are links to the video on our DREAMers Facebook page and on YouTube. It will soon be on our webpage, www.NorthBayDreamers.org.
Please watch it and share with your friends or acquaintances. And if you’re on Facebook, please SHARE with your friends.

And if you know of any businesses or individuals who may want to sponsor the video story of a DREAMer, plase contact Chris Kerosky, [christopher.kerosky@gmail.com].

The story of the DREAMers is a story that must be told, especially now when immigration reform is under attack.
