Foxglove

Foxglove are a native to Northern California and come in several different colors - fushia, yellow, and white. I have all three colors in my garden - some of which sprouted from a wildflower mix I sowed last year. Because foxglove, also know as digitalis, are biennials, they flower in the second year. Following their flowering they produce a multitude of tiny seeds which fall to the ground and begin the two year process all over again when the autumn rain begins.
