God, the black outlines were a chore. Yes, you *can* do them fine just by writing over whatever colour you want them to be backed by (the pink in the banner, the white in the speech bubble, the brown on the cat, etc...) but NOT if you let the colour dry first, foolish Laurie! To top it all, the white seemed to be of a super fast-drying nature, so by the time I'd put it on, I couldn't write on it.
I should perhaps re-iterate the importance of eating, here, so you don't make silly mistakes.
I went and got myself a Yop & a flapjack halfway through, so 10 minutes later could properly see my hubris & realised I had to re-do the banner & speech bubble.
It still looks all scrabbledy & scruffy, even after all the re-doing of bits. Thankfully I have an in-built limit at which I go "stuff it. It's meant to look like that. It's charmingly naive" & wander off.
Without that limit, my pictures would no doubt look twenty times better. I would also, however, be quite mad.
