The Death Zone - Longer and Lower. Frenchay hospital, Bristol
Quite possibly the longest, lowest and coldest corridor in the Western Hemisphere.
If there's a reason to hate hospitals, this is it. Taken from outside Intensive Care at Frenchay Bristol.
The hospital stayed empty until 1942 when it was handed over to the US. Known as the 298th General Hospital, it consisted of medical and nursing personnel from the University of Michigan and was extended to include 32 wards. This part used to be more of a roadway than a corridor, without a roof that jeeps could be driven up and down.
It's so darn cold that it can't sustain human life! ;-)
