I was trying to catch a bright red sun tonight but didn't get home to grab my gear in enough time to capture it. I ended up getting a few shots of the sunset instead. It gave me a chance to practice my new Tiffen ND filter. It slowed my shutter speed down to 15 sec. but there isn't much motion blur on the water even though the wind was blowing. I did expose for the reflected water rather than the sky and was pleased with the amount of texture I got on the water as a result (technique suggested by Bryan Peterson). I also practiced with hyperfocal distance focusing. At F/32, it seems to all be pretty sharp, other than a little motion blur on bits of the trees here and there. Overall, I'm pleased, although I know the composition/location is nothing spectacular.
