Old Texaco Sign

    Newer Older

An old Texaco advertisement scrolled on a brick wall in Lewistown, Montana.

There are lots of old signs dotting Montana's landscape. This just happens to be one of them; found on the backside of a building while scouting Lewistown, Montana.

Traveling the roads of Montana can make someone feel like they are in a bit of a time warp. I see things in Montana I haven't seen in many, many years. Perhaps the arid climate helps in this way, or maybe the steamroller of time doesn't travel to Montana too much. In any case, I enjoy seeing America's history everywhere as I explore the state Montana...the world's largest museum.

The art of painted signs like these are dying and it's a shame.
