light/night

A few years ago, I started knitting hanging sculptures based on Frank Lloyd Wright designs.

The first project was a double-sided knitted replica of a shutter from his Pope-Leighey House, originally constructed in Falls Church, VA, but the design for this sculpture (stand of stained oak and copper wire, silk tapestry) comes from a small lighting fixture at Fallingwater.

As much as I love this piece, it is for sale.
