Loren Andrus Octagon House

    Newer Older

Here's a beloved landmark in Washington Township, Michigan. This Civil War era home has eight sides and almost as many lives.

I've been waiting many days to get a good shot of the house.

Great photo - thanks for the memories! I haven't lived in MI since I was a teenager (1985), so I hadn't thought of this one for awhile, but for some reason it popped into my mind tonight.

I was sorry to learn that Apple Barrel Farm is kaput (destination of many field trips and birthday parties), but I'm glad the house is still there. Wonderful capture!
