Palouse Crop Circles

    Newer Older

I shot from Steptoe Butte at both dawn and dusk over a period of a week over the 4th of July holiday. Fell in love with the never ending patterns of the landscape as the light changed. A magical place for a photographer with different compositions everywhere I pointed my lens. You can get a sense of scale by looking at the top right portion of the image and take a look at the telephone poles. Truly massive vista. I'm fascinated by the convoluted tramlines just below centre shot. The tractor driver must know these fields intimately to work them in such an intricate but effective pattern.
      A superb capture!

This must be one of the most spectacular vistas in the world to photograph. So incredible it leaves one breathless seeing it on the computer monitor! I am in awe.
