Yellowstone Waterfall at Dawn 2

It is interesting to "work" a site rich in photo possibilities. In many cases there is no "right" setup. After we had shot our fill of the waterfall we moved downstream to shoot river shots. On the way back I realized there was a different framing possible, one that added more layers and perspective. Not sure which version I like...each has its pluses. Best seen LARGE. There is a lot of discussion about how sharp the 18-200mm VR lens is, especially at smaller apertures. For the sake of depth of field I stopped down to f/22 at 18mm. Sharp enough for me! Of course what you can't see is that shortly after I took the shot and packed up my bag to head back to the car I caught my hiking boot in between two rocks and took quite a spill. Fortunately no gear was damaged though I wound up with some scratches and bruises. Nothing like shedding a little blood for a great photo.
