Painting of the Egyptian goddess Bastet in a Bob Mackie-style gown. Bastet has the head of a cat and the body of a human and is the goddess of the arts, ointments and a bunch of other things, like diseases that affect women and children and fertility. She is usually pictured with a small percussive instrument known as a sistrum, her aegis, which consists of a small breastplate topped with the head of a lion, and a small bag, perhaps containing her magical ointments.

Acrylic and glitter on wooden panel, 20" x 30."
