The Ice Cave
A shot from this mornings 5am session on Beefcake V10 in the Ice cave at the Sad Boulders area. Its awesome how this whole block is just wedged in between the cave walls! Think I have the sequence sorted now, but have to put it all together... regardless, its a rad place to spend your days.
Some more details on the shot:
The image was shot really early (and it was still 20 degrees) with dim, diffuse ambient lighting. The rimlight on the climber and underside of the boulder was from a single EX-600RT remote flash setup on a pile of rocks just out of frame on the left and focused to highlight the climber without hitting the foreground. The camera was setup on a tripod with an intervalometer shooting every 5 seconds as I worked the line.
