Victorian Barges on the River Severn
A print from a glass negative from about 1890. We only recently started to print these amazing Victorian photographs and have been researching their origin. See more at www.cartes.fsnet.co.uk/terry/terry.htm
This scene has been positively identified as Wainlodes on the River Severn. These coal barges are waiting to enter the Coombe Hill canal, just visible before the far group of barges.
