The Toy Stove With Many Lives

387-6-63 ... Denver suburbs, Colorado, USA, Earth

This is a 2005 photo of a toy stove that I built for our Daughter when she was a child, back in Marshalltown, Iowa. ... It had to have been between 1970 and 1975.

It has been refurbished several times. ... It started out Olive Green I think.

It's made of plywood from plans I got somewhere. ... It originally had individual burners made from aluminum Jell-O molds with metal grates like a gas stove. ... When they wore out, we found some kind of glass thing that looked like an electric cooktop.

It has been used by our daughter and each of her daughters in turn, and has moved from Iowa to Mississippi to Colorado. ... It is now in storage because all her daughters are too old for it.

I just stumbled upon this photo while trying to organize the photos on my computer.
