Amazing tarantula tools for toes

The tips of the legs can also fan outward, covering a particular shape or adding more grip.

This photo only catches the fanning movement from the side perspective, which is captured well from the angle.

The tips seem thick and puffy here (photographed), but can be very flat and cover a 3D surface like a wet paper towel.

Two sharp claws add for a super grasp is clearly seen.

Keep note of the other legs, which are also working together, do have other ways of maintaining a grasp.

Additionally, there are multiple "sticky" sections on the leg which can help grasp other objects.

The science behind the foot tips and their uses is quite interesting.
