      I always wonder how many wine/ beer experts are real. I think several studies have shown that experts/ average Joes are known to think more highly of wines/ beers with fancy names and in unique bottles, even when cheap supermarket wines have been put into the fancy bottles.

      I think most of them are real, but they can get pretentious-sounding, sometimes, in their flowery descriptions. Yet most of their descriptions nevertheless have much truth in them, if one has a discerning palate.

      But I don't deny that the beer and wine industries make use of such descriptions to promote their products; let's face it, everything has marketing...
