101922 - Woodland Hills Freeway Collision Proves Deadly

WOODLAND HILLS - A woman died and a man was seriously injured when their sport utility vehicle overturned and tumbled down an embankment after reportedly colliding with the freeway's center divider and a big rig truck early October 19, 2022 on the northbound Ventura (US 101) Freeway near Shoup Avenue.
Los Angeles Fire Department Firefighter/Paramedics treated and transported the injured man to a regional trauma center, and worked with the LAFD Heavy Rescue unit to recover the woman's remains.
The California Highway Patrol's West Valley office is investigating the collision.
