100124 - Engine 5 Teaches Fire Safety at Wish Charter

On October 1, 2024 Los Angeles City Fire Department Engine 5, proudly serving Westchester, visit Wish Charter school to teach fire safety to the students.
These visits serve as an important part of our fire education as young children are often afraid of firefighters in full gear. We don't want a moment's delay in our rescue efforts and this familiarization allows them to understand it is just a person inside that gear who is trying to help them.
They learn about 'Stop, Drop and Roll' as well as basic home fire safety.
