090724 - Greater Alarm Fire Consumes Automotive Paint & Body Center in Lake Balboa

LAKE BALBOA - Despite oppressively hot weather, with an ambient outdoor temperature of 108° Fahrenheit - and multiple explosions heard within the burning building on their arrival, more than 100 Los Angeles Fire Department responders worked tenaciously for an hour on September 7, 2024, to fully extinguish a greater alarm fire at 16816 Saticoy Street. Though flames consumed the 3,544 square foot one-story automotive body and paint repair facility, as well as several vehicles within and adjacent to the business, no injuries were reported.
